Rock San Antonio! The newest edition to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series takes place on November 16 in beautiful San Antonio Texas.Featuring a flat, fast course, ideal running temperatures in the mid-60’s and beautiful scenery, San Antonio proves to be the perfect location for a late-fall marathon or half marathon. The WRSA running program will prepare you for this event whether you're a first time runner or seasoned veteran. We will meet on Saturday mornings at 7:00 am at Soler's Tri Sports in Helotes for group runs and on Sunday mornings at Soler's Sports Broadway location. We will also meet during the week on Wednesday evenings at 6p.m. at the Helotes store and 6p.m. on Wednesdays at the Broadway store. You will run an additional 3 days on your own.
This is an 18 week training program to prepare you to be able to run the marathon or half marathon at RNR San Antonio. The training allows for runners to increase their distance slowly and gives you enough recovery time to remain injury free during training. You don't have to do this program alone. Just bring a friend or two and you have a 98% chance you'll still be friends after the program.
